As the days are winding down until the start of class, I start to think back to everything that happened this summer. Working at a summer camp has given me a different perspective on things than what I had as a first year student last year. Having now finished Resident Advisor training, and finally completing my floor decs I am now ready for the freshman to move in. Not only I am looking forward to the new freshmen, but I am also greatly looking forward to the return of my college friends. Emailing and texting are not the same as talking to them in person. I am ready for the campus to become alive again. For the first few days I was here it seemed almost depressing because the campus seemed dead. After this weekend everything will be back to normal. Along with changing resident hall, and getting a new job it will also be different this year because some individuals will not be back. Some of my friends either graduating or transferring schools, it will not be the same without them here.
Even with all the changes and how different this year will be compared to last year, I say “bring it on!”
